Royal Ascot is the most formal date in the British racing calendar, and the
one most often used for entertaining clients who have been entertained
everywhere else. Five days of Group One flat racing, the Royal Procession at
two o’clock each afternoon, and a dress code that makes the day feel like an
occasion before a single horse has run.
We are an events agency, not a ticket reseller. What we sell is the hosted
day: the hospitality space, the hotel the night before, the cars that collect
your guests, the dinner on the way home, and somebody from our team on the
ground to make sure all of it happens without you managing it.
Which days suit which guests
The meeting has a distinct character across its five days. Tuesday opens with
the Queen Anne Stakes and the strongest racing of the week. Thursday is Ladies’
Day and the Gold Cup — the busiest and most photographed afternoon. Saturday
is the most relaxed, and the easiest day to bring guests who are not racing
people.
Travel and hotels from the North West
Most of our clients travel down from Manchester and Cheshire. The practical
options are rail to London and out to Ascot, a private coach door to door for
groups above about twenty, or cars for smaller senior groups. Hotels split
between Ascot and Windsor for atmosphere, or the Heathrow corridor for price
and access.
